WARNER BROTHERS

This is an unpublished Christmas card design that I created for Warner Brothers. The kid is making the famous WB water tower that is on the lot as the other kids look on and wonder what the heck it is. This was way back in 2003 I think. Sometimes things just don't make it for a number of reasons. It sits in the archives waiting to be turned into something.

NEW YEAR

2013 was NOT a great year. I have to tell ya, I'm glad it's over. Something about starting a new year makes it all seem possible again. 2014 I plan on working on more ROCKYWORLD art and connecting with more art buyers and clients around the world.

I started the new year off with a new pair of glasses. I was amazed how well I could see.......

Snowman and Bird

This image above is a newish image created for my Christmas catalogue. It is a 50/50 mix of paint and Photoshop. You can use it on just about anything. As always, my images can be customized to your specific desires. Email me for details.

2014 will be all about getting ROCKYWORLD back off the ground. This last year was not good. We had many distractions both personally and professionally. I would love to see you at SURTEX in May but we will have to see how that goes.

Thriving Artist Summit

Over the past days I have been listening to THE THRIVING ARTIST SUMMIT. WOW!! What a helpful bunch of interviews for artist and illustrators. I would jump on this and listen.

It is all about thriving as an artist. I need this type of help.

TOP 20

So Kate Harper is a greeting card designer who is quite well known. By her count she has done over 1000 cards.....

She has a blog called GREETING CARD DESIGNER and she had a contest on it for the MOST ARTISTIC CHRISTMAS CARDS.

FROM HER SITE:
From over 300 entries, these twenty cards were selected for their artistic qualities and marketability, and the final winner was determined by (judge) Kathy Krassner.

Kathy Krassner is the Director of Communications for the Greeting Card Association, Editor-at-Large of Gifts and Decorative Accessories magazine, Editorial Consultant for the National Stationery Show, Senior Editor of NobleWorks Inc., and columnist for the U.K.-based Gifts and Greetings Review.  She is also the owner of Krassner Communications.

Anyway.....

One of my designs made it into the top 20 out of over 300 entries. That is pretty exciting news to me here at ROCKYWORLD. Since I am trying to get Rockyworld up and running and promoting it has been a bit of a challenge.

Check out the top 20 here. http://kateharperblog.blogspot.com/2013/12/most-artistic-christmas-card.html

This is the design that made it. Thank you to Kate Harper and Kathy Krassner.
